Full recipe is on brewersfriend.com but here's the TL;DR
- Brew day: 2018-2-11
- Malts: Maris Otter, Crystal 120 (3%)
- Hops: [Nugget] (Northern Brewer, Loral)
- Yeast: SafAle S-04
- OG: 1.060; FG: 1.017; ABV 5.6%
- Kegged: 2018-3-1
Mash finished
60g of Northern Brewer and 60g of Loral
Into the fermenter
And we're off
2018-3-1 kegging. FG was way higher than expected at 1.017. Could be the temp in the fermentation room stayed pretty cool for the whole 2 weeks. Still ended up at 5.6% and it doesn't taste too sweet so that's good.
2018-3-4 Carbonated. Tasting nice - about what I would expect from an English IPA. Pronounced nutty malts from the Maris Otter and dark crystal, and plenty of hop character from the Northern Brewer and Loral. This is a go-to I could see becoming a regular in the keezer!
2018-4-18 update. Tasting great, still lots of hop presence and finishes clean
